Play It or Let It Go

Three years of quiet,
Then his name lit up the screen like nothing ever changed.
My thumb is resting on the arrow,
Ten seconds of his voice so hears a nothing.
I know the sound of him before he talks,
I know how it ends if I just walk.
Press play and the mic will not numb,
Press delete and the voice is gone.
