Cradles

I see the world through eyes covered in ink and bleach.
Cross out the ones who heard my cries and watch me weep.
I love everything.
Fire's breathing all around my room, my world so bright.
It's hard to breathe, but that's alright.
Tape my eyes open to forced reality.

Why can't you just let me eat my white and glee?
I live inside my own world of make-believe,
Kids screaming in their cradles, profanities.
Some days I feel skinnier than all the other days.
Sometimes I can't tell if my body belongs to me.
