Don't Let Me Sink

Everybody said,
"Don't go there," but something pulled me through.
So I stepped into the water, trying hard to follow you.
But when the storm got stronger,
And my faith began to shake.
Jesus, don't let me sink when the fear gets in my way,
When the waves inside my spirit pull my hope away.
Jesus, reach for me when my faith begins to break.
If I fall beneath the water, please don't let me sink.
There were nights I lost direction when the dark became too much,
And I wondered if you saw me reaching out for just one touch.
But somehow, through all my weakness,
