Water Running Down

Let the sound cover everything.
Finally alone where it's safe to fall apart without explaining.
Towels against my back are cool,
But nothing stops the sake inside.
I held it in all afternoon,
Now there's nowhere left to hide.
I don't have to be strong here,
Don't have to smile through the pain.
Just me and the steam and the truth I've been holding.
So I let it out, let it break.
Every tear I couldn't cry.
Water running down my face, mixing with the reasons why.
I can scream and no one hears.
I can shake and no one sees.
This is where I disappear.
This is where I'm finally free.
