Love We Lost

Like faded letters by the sea.
We had a dream, we had a place,
Now I can only miss your face.
I learned that love can leave a scar,
And distance shows us where we are.
Some hearts are meant to cross our way,
Then teach us how to live each day.
Love we lost, love we knew, time moved on,
But I stayed true.
Words we said, dreams we made, gone too soon,
But never fade.
I don't regret the years we shared,
Or all the moments that you cared.
If loving you was my mistake,
I'd make it once again for love's sake.
Love we lost, love we knew, time moved on,
