But I don't recognize the face that looks back.
In the mirror now,
It's not just you I'm missing; it's who I was when you were here.
Everything feels the same now,
The same gray blur year after year.
I became a stranger in the rain,
Walking through a life I can't explain.
You took a version of me when you left; now I'm someone I've never met.
A stranger.
In the rain.
The rooms don't hold the way they did; everything's quiet,
Nothing fits.
I watch the water run down the window and wonder where that person went,
The one who knew how to feel something.
